Found this while looking for movie listings in old newspapers. Figured some WWII historians might find this interesting...or not.  Whatever.

The Rocky Horror Show newspaper ads

Well, I was walking down the street just a having a think when I thought about how according to Wikipedia the Rainbow Flag was created in 1978 by Gilbert Baker.  "Baker's first rainbow flag had eight colors, though the most common variant consists of six stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The flag is typically flown horizontally, with the red stripe on top, as it would be in a natural rainbow."  But, strangely enough, an upside-down rainbow (violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red) is seen in a rectangular shape in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW which debuted on August 14, 1975.

Random Newspaper Clippings That Don't Have a Place on Happyotter, Volume 1

I love how this New York City newspaper just said fuck it and ran two porno ads next to a Disney ad.

Really, Los Angeles Times?  You're just gonna randomly post a photograph of a heartbroken dog?  What the fuck kind of bullshit is that?  It's fucking 71 years later and now I'm sitting here damn near crying.
